Chittagong-- (UNB) - The price indexes at Chittagong Stock Exchange finished lower yesterday (Sunday) as the losers heavily dominated the gainers.


The CSE All Share Price Index shed 7.98 points or 0.57 per cent to close at 1385.55 points from Saturday's 1393.53 points.


The Selective Index also lost 13.12 points or 0.92 percent to close at 1409.52 points.


Of the 54 listed securities traded yesterday, 42 declined, only nine gained and three remain unchanged.


Some 491,200 shares and debentures worth Tk 2.40 crore were transacted yesterday as against 202,495 shares valued at Tk 1.52 crore on the previous trading day.


Aims First Guaranteed (112,500), Quasem Drycell (66,050), Delta Millers (42,980), National Credit (41,550) and Fu-Wang Foods Limited (41,000) were among the volume leaders.


Market capitalisation stood at Tk 56.85 billion from Tk 57.15 billion on Saturday.
